Who can enter?
The competition is open university students regardless of year of study or degree discipline. You must be currently studying at a university in the United Kingdom.
Can I enter more than once?
We strongly advise you do not attempt the ICAEW 100 exercise more than once. If you enter the competition twice, both entries will become void.
How long does it take?
The exercise is not timed but you will need around 30 minutes to complete the registration form and the online exercise.
What is the grand prize?
The overall winner will receive a one-on-one employability skills session with a member of the ICAEW Early Careers team. You will learn how to improve your interview technique, create an eye-catching CV and increase your commercial awareness among other skills. You will also win £1,500 for personal development towards your future career.
Are there any other prizes up for grabs?
Yes. Additional prizes will be awarded to applicants who have excelled in certain areas of the exercise. These prizes will be announced at the end of the competition.
All students who take part in the competition will receive a personalised feedback report. This identifies your strengths and offers advice on how you might further improve your skills and maximise your potential.
Do I have to complete the exercises in one go?
No, although we do recommend it as it only takes 30 minutes to complete.
Where can I complete the exercises?
You can complete the exercise online on a tablet, phone, iPad, laptop or computer.
If you are using a PC, please ensure your browser and Flash Player are up-to-date. For all devices, we recommend you use one of the following browsers: Internet Explorer / Firefox / Safari / Google Chrome.
How long do I have to take part?
The competition closes at 17:00 BST on 17 April 2023.
